Flying high at the Clacton Air Show
6 September 2011 by Tony Fisher
Essex-based solicitors Fisher Jones Greenwood LLP were flying high at the Clacton Air Show
this year on August 25th & 26th.
The show itself was a roaring success, hitting the heights with tens of thousands of spectators lining the seafront across the two days. FJG ran two popular competitions as well as creating a sea of red and blue with their buckets and spades being snapped up quicker than the passing planes. The public flocked to the stall to chance their arm at the contests and try to win the prizes!
The winner of the children’s competition to see who could throw the toy gliders the furthest was Christopher Bolton from Manningtree, who skilfully navigated his glider to a whopping throw of nearly 10 metres! Not to be outshone, Ashley Tarling from Clacton-on-Sea won the adults aviation quiz, showing off his impressive knowledge of all things flying and coming home with a perfect score of ten out of ten.
