The local law firm has begun a push to promote health and wellbeing by teaming up with organisation’s such as SimplyHealth and FitOdyssey at the same time implementing other initiatives alongside. The firm aim to not only improve the workplace environment but also help the health, wellbeing and lifestyle of their staff.
Paula Fowler, Managing Partner at FJG, commented, “We understand the importance of health and wellbeing amongst our staff and as an Investor in People we are making sure this is a priority for FJG. The innovations we are bringing in will ensure that everyone has the opportunity to lead a heathier lifestyle, starting with the workplace.”
As well as the introduction of freely available of fresh fruit in every kitchen, the firm has opted to deploy the myWellbeing scheme from SimplyHealth, whereby staff can claim cashback on a wide range of services – from dental to NHS prescriptions. Going one step further and extending the new initiatives outside of work, the firm will also be offering a fitness program to staff. This program in partnership with FitOdyssey will not only look at fitness but also general health, wellbeing and nutrition.
Paula Fowler continued; “We recognise that staff spend the majority of their day at their desk. By offering a healthy alternative to snacking, health benefits and the chance to start a fitness programme we aim to create one of the healthiest workforces in the East. Healthy and fit employees are happier and more productive so as well as helping FJG, this will mean the best possible service for our clients.”
