Chris Yemm, Managing Partnership Member
Chris is a partnership member and is Head of the Civil Litigation department. He has been a Deputy District Judge and holds a Masters Degree in Advanced Litigation. He is also a CEDR accredited Mediator accustomed to resolving disputes through negotiation and agreement. Chris and his wife keep horses, pigs sheep, dogs and chicken on their smallholding in Suffolk as a result of which he understands and is well placed to advise on practical problems involving the Environment Agency, Rural Payments Agency and DEFRA including the latter’s immensely unpopular proposals to levy a charge on livestock to cover the cost of all outbreaks of disease even if again caused by them!

Glenn Craig, Solicitor
Glenn qualified as a solicitor in 2005. Before joining Fisher Jones Greenwood he worked for Edwards Duthie Solicitors, a very busy legal aid practice based in East London.
Prior to that Glenn worked as a specialist for the Citizen’s Advice Bureau in Witham, Essex and as a specialist benefits adviser with the Social Services department in Barnet.
Glenn’s experience includes preventing eviction, including representation at possession proceedings, help with benefit problems, representation to secure release from detention under the Mental Health Act and taking or threatening High Court action to enforce individual rights to welfare payments, housing or care services from Government or Local Government.

Samantha Hale, Solicitor
Samantha started her legal career working at Maxwell Gillott a niche firm of solicitors specialising in Education, Social care and Health care Law. The majority of her experience at the firm was within Education Law.
After qualification, Sam joined Fisher Jones Greenwood LLP in January 2010 and began working within the education team. Her work within the team includes working for both Legally Aided and Private Clients and has included advising schools as well as parents. Sam’s experience within the education team is varied and has included advice on school policies, data protection, work within the First-tier Tribunal (Special Educational Needs and Disability) including work for a school who found themselves involved in a complex Tribunal case, breach of contract, admissions, transport, exclusions, special educational needs and discrimination.

Hannah Graves, Solicitor
Hannah is Head of the Immigration and Public Law team and is a solicitor specialising in all aspects of general and commercial immigration, asylum law, human rights and community care. She routinely assists clients with immigration visas under the Points Based System, appeals relating to employment and business, students and visas for dependent relatives, spouses, other family members and children. In particular, Hannah specialises in cases involving complex issues, applications outside the rules and challenging Home Office rules and policy, by way of Judicial Review in the High Court.
Hannah also specialises in cases involving EU free movement rights for individuals and their family members, establishment of businesses and provision of services for overseas clients. Hannah has experience of acting for businesses in relation to defending against liability for civil penalties and Judicial Review of suspension of Sponsor Licences.
Her other specialist areas include public law, including community care, continuing care, Judicial Review and High Court litigation. She represents clients to assist them in exercising their rights to support and services, resolving funding and other disputes between the individual, the National Health Service, NASS and Social Services.
Hannah obtained her first degree in English literature and went on to study law at the University of East Anglia. Hannah is supervisor of the firm's public law and community care legal aid franchises, she also provides training and editorial to a number of agencies and publications.
Hannah has been ranked in the Chambers Guide 2012 as a Leader in the Field of Public Law and Human Rights, the Guide states that Hannah “offers expertise in handling contentious matters against public bodies and the state. She is especially heralded for her work within the complex crossover of asylum and child care, and observers note that she is "prepared to take on difficult issues" and is "extremely dogged, but incredibly personable and she often manages to achieve what the client needs whilst avoiding it going to court." The Chambers Guides for 2010 and 2011 also ranked Hannah as an Associate to Watch and described her as an incredibly hard-working lawyer who advises on the full range of human rights issues. According to clients, she is "tireless in her passion for protecting human rights and dignity." and a “talented and skilful lawyer with excellent client care skills.”

Amy Herring, Paralegal
Amy graduated with a law degree from the University of Kent and qualified from The College of Law in London with a Distinction for the Legal Practice Course (LPC) in 2011 where her chosen electives were Employment Law, Commercial Law and Mergers and Acquisitions. She works with the intervention team and also provides assistance to the employment, education, litigation and commercial teams.
