Paul Tawn, Partnership Member
Paul is the Partner responsible for the Criminal Law team. He qualified as a Solicitor in 1989 and has specialised in criminal law for 16 years. He is a member of the Colchester, Tendring and Braintree Duty Solicitor Schemes and receives instructions on a broad spectrum of criminal cases, spanning both private and commercial matters and including commercial regulatory issues. Paul has represented clients charged with serious criminal offences, including murder, rape, sexual assault, sexual abuse and domestic abuse cases.

David Lawton, Solicitor
David read law at Oxford and was admitted as a solicitor in 1967. He is a Higher-Court Solicitor Advocate in criminal matters and is a past chairman of the national Legal Aid Practitioner’s Group.
As well as working in the criminal field, David also practices general civil litigation, particularly specialising in employment law, acting for both employers and employees in negotiating compromise agreements and also taking cases to the Employment Tribunal.
He also has considerable experience in buying & selling businesses, partnership, and commercial contract work.
