After a year of fund-raising and collections,
staff and solicitors at Fisher Jones Greenwood are delighted to have raised
£993.36 for Essex Air Ambulance. Although the amount raised was down on the
previous year’s fund raising total, Susan Kovbasyuk, the Charity Liaison Officer
for FJG said “in a year when times had been hard for a lot of people, it was
great to see staff were still prepared to contribute and participate in events,
including a cake bake, a Sunflower-growing competition and a Christmas raffle.
As a result of this we have been able to contribute a helpful sum to the Essex
Air Ambulance this year.
”Essex Air Ambulance, in a letter of thanks said
“on behalf of all the people who we have assisted, we would like to say a big
and heartfelt thank you – your support is very much appreciated.”
Once again staff at Fisher Jones Greenwood have
voted for their charity of the year for 2010/2011 and the popular choice for the
coming year was St Helena Hospice. Fund-raising is already underway with lots of
interest in the annual Sunflower-growing competition. Other planned events
include a World Cup sweepstake, a computer treasure hunt and cake bakes
throughout the year.
