As long as a child is in Local Authority care, voluntarily, or the subject of
Care Proceedings, there must be regular Statutory Reviews carried out by Social
Services, whereby the parents and other relevant parties are invited, to
consider the arrangements and make decisions about them.
Statutory Reviews are regulated by law, and a solicitor can be instructed to
attend the Review, during the Court Proceedings or outside them, to help parents
put their case.
