There are special arrangements for Legal Aid for certain types of Tribunals,
based on the means test for Legal Help but other people outside the means test
will qualify too. At the moment, these only cover Mental Health Review Tribunals
and Immigration Appeal Tribunals. Other tribunal appeals may be covered in the
future, but Legal Help is still available for advice for Social Security Appeal
Tribunal cases and there are voluntary schemes to provide an advocate at the
appeal itself.
