At Fisher Jones Greenwood LLP we care about the impact we have on the local community and the environment. We recognise that our clients and staff also place these issues of high importance. This is how we show our commitment:-
Advice for Young People
Fisher Jones Greenwood are operating a national pilot for the Legal Services Commission which is designed to make legal services more accessible to children and young people, especially those who are in the care system. This project, named “Lawyers for Young People” is led by Liz Frank, a Solicitor with specialist experience of providing legal services to this client group.
Community Support
Fisher Jones Greenwood are only one of two legal firms in the whole of the East Anglian region which continues to offer a full range of social welfare related publicly funded legal service. We have specialists who provide services to vulnerable client groups who need advice on employment, welfare benefits, housing, community care, education, public law and personal injury.
The Tendring Outreach Service is one example of the way in which the firm ensures vulnerable groups around the Tendring area receive legal advice. The service led by Family Partners Chris Graves and Nigel Humphreys operates out of the Citizen’s Advice Bureau offices in Clacton-on-Sea and Harwich.
Support for Charities
Through staff nominations, every year Fisher Jones Greenwood chooses a ‘Charity of the Year’.
For 2007/2008 staff have elected to support East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH).
To reinforce our commitment in this area we have appointed a Charity Liaison Officer, Kate Clark, whose role is to build close relationships with our charity.
Consideration for our Staff
Fisher Jones Greenwood was the first law firm in North East Essex to obtain the Investors in people (IIP) accreditation in 1998. This has since been re-accredited.
