David Jones , Partnership Member

David heads our Residential Property and Newbuild departments based at our Charter Court office on Severalls Business Park.

Mike Theeman , Partnership Member

Mike is the firm's Commercial property partner and specialises in development sites and the acquisition and disposal of commercial property both leasehold and freehold. He has also trained and has substantial experience as a mediator.

Educated locally at the Colchester Royal Grammar School and Essex University, before studying Law at Guildford, Mike has many connections and interests in and around Colchester.

His experience in advising established and newly formed businesses is regularly called upon to guide potential Tenants and Buyers through the property maze.

Paula Furnell , Legal Executive

Paula is a conveyancing specialist with over 20 years legal experience. She initially joined the original firm of Fisher Jones in 1985, prior to the merger with Greenwood Page & Ward. Paula undertakes all aspects of residential conveyancing work and is dedicated to providing high levels of client care. She has also had extensive experience of personal injury work funded by legal aid, legal expenses, and more recently, conditional fee arrangements. Paula is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and has played an active role in the Essex branch for some years, having been the branch secretary for the last four years. She also enjoys working in the local community and has been an Assistant Brownie Guide for 12 years, working with girls from ages seven to ten years old in Colchester.

Martin Pratley , Solicitor

Martin graduated from the University of Keele in 1982 with a joint degree in Law and Sociology. Following University, he studied for his Law Society Finals at the College of Law in Chester before accepting Articles with a Colchester firm in 1983 where he remained, as a partner from 1987, until joining FJG in November 2002. During his career he has practiced in most areas of the Law including matrimonial, probate and both civil and criminal litigation. He ran the branch office of his former practice in Holland-on-Sea for several years before returning to work in Colchester full time in 1996 since when he has dealt almost exclusively with residential and commercial property related work.

Lorraine King

Lorraine joined Fisher Jones in 1984 as a secretary and has been with the firm ever since. She works in the the firm's Charter Court office conveyancing team.

Olivia Toop

Olivia is a trainee with the Council for Licensed Conveyancers currently undertaking her final examination. Joined the firm in 1999 as a full time assistant in the Trinity Square Conveyancing Team and has built up her own caseload since then. She is now based at our Charter Court office.

Diana Stott

Di joined as a conveyancing secretary and now works part-time at the firm's Charter Court offices as part of the conveyancing team.

Debbie Foley

Debbie is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and specialises in residential conveyancing, she is based at our Charter Court offices.

Sven Wair

A former pupil of Colchester Royal Grammar School, Sven graduated with a first-class honours degree from the University of Essex in 1997. He worked in publishing and printing, and as an editor before entering law. He specialises in residential conveyancing.

Marion Knocker

Marion is a trainee legal executive. She joined the firm in 2002 as an office junior. Marion has since been promoted and has successfully built up her own conveyancing caseload. She is based at the firm’s Charter Court office on the Severalls Business Park.

Gayle Fordham

Gayle Fordham is a trainee Licensed Conveyancer who joined the firm in 2003. Gayle works within David Jones Conveyancing department dealing with a residential conveyancing caseload. She is based at the firms Charter Court offices.

Alison Clark , Solicitor

Alison is a qualified solicitor who specialises in conveyancing. She has extensive experience in family law, which includes divorce, financial matters and arrangements concerning children and child care. She has also been trained to provide housing advice. She is based at our out of town office on the Severalls Business Park.

Stephanie Manning , Licensed Conveyancer

Stephanie is a newly qualified Licensed Conveyancer, based at our Norfolk House offices. Stephanie currently provides support to the other Conveyancers whilst building her workload.

Glenn Carter , Paralegal

Glenn is a paralegal in our Commercial Law team based at our out of town offices on the Severalls Business Park. His role is varied in that he provides general support to the Commercial team. Glenn possesses a wealth of commercial knowledge as prior to joining the firm he has had 20 years experience of running his own successful business.
