We are located in Colchester, with a town centre and out of town office, with easy access to the A12.
We are one of the only firms to hold a Community Care Legal Aid franchise in the whole of East Anglia. This means that we can provide free legal services to those individuals who qualify for legal aid. We are also able to represent clients under our legal aid franchise for actions in the High Courts and above.
We give our clients realistic and practical advice about their entitlement to receive services, or obligations to provide services, and pro-actively take cases forward where appropriate.
What will it cost for us to help you?
As we hold a legal aid franchise both in the area of Community Care and also for Public Law actions, we are happy to assess our clients to see if they might qualify for publicly funded advice.
For those clients who cannot access Legal Aid, we offer specialist advice at competitive rates. Our likely costs vary depending on the complexity and length of the matter.
We can also offer fixed rates for your initial advice consultation. These range from £50 to £150 for the initial appointment, depending on the type of case and the seniority of the lawyer advising you. At these appointments we will take the details of your circumstances and provide advice to you about the law and how it affects you.
We do not always offer fixed rate advice interviews where we are taking over the conduct of your case from another adviser where there is ongoing litigation.
Where we don’t offer fixed rate, our rates range from £75 to £165 plus VAT per hour depending on the type of case and seniority of the lawyer helping you.
