EDUCATION LAW SERVICES FOR INDIVIDUALS
The firm’s education law advice service is available for anyone with concerns about a child’s or their own education. Particular focus is given to children excluded from school, children with special educational needs, and vulnerable children and young adults who are not receiving the appropriate level of statutory services. Our lawyers are able to provide representation for statutory appeals panels, the Special Education Needs and Disability Tribunal and all the Higher Courts in applications for judicial review or free-standing human rights claims.
For qualifying people in receipt of welfare benefits or on a low income the firm has a contract with the Legal Services Commission to provide free legal advice and assistance through the Legal Help Scheme. Legal Aid is also available for High Court, Court of Appeal and House of Lords casework, subject to an assessment by the Legal Services Commission of the client’s means and the legal merits of the case.
On this website we have posted a range of guides to deal with the most commonly asked questions. If you would like further advice please contact Yvonne Spencer on 01206 835241 or yspencer@fjg.co.uk
