Our Aim

Employment law is an ever expanding and complex area for employers.  Employment Tribunals deal with claims ranging from unfair dismissal and redundancy through to discrimination including, sex, race, disability and age discrimination.  Our task at Fisher Jones Greenwood is to guide you through the maze of regulations to try to avoid expensive and time consuming disputes.  We aim to be readily contactable by phone or e-mail to provide prompt advice which you can act on.

Work We Do

We can write contract of employment and policies for you.  Not only do employers have to provide employees with contracts, but contracts and policies can help you manage your business and avoid disputes.

If a dispute does arise, we can advise on the correct procedures to follow including statutory, disciplinary and grievance procedures.  If the dispute cannot be resolved, we will provide representation at an Employment Tribunal or Court.

Our employment law department is part of our Commercial Team, and we can therefore refer you to other specialists as and when necessary.

Legal Fees Insurance

We can arrange insurance cover, to cover the cost of legal fees and compensation awards made by Employment Tribunals.  Employers can be taken to Employment Tribunals for a range of claims, and in the case of discrimination claims, tribunal awards are not capped.

Pricing

Our policy is to provide an open and transparent pricing of our work.  Our advice is charged out at competitive rates which will be agreed with you at the outset.  Detailed estimates will be provided wherever possible and for non contentious work, such as drafting contracts and policies, where possible, we will give you a quote.
