Who Can Be Adopted?
Only a child, who is under the age of 18 and has never been married, can be adopted.
The child must generally be over 19 weeks old and have lived with the Applicants for 13 weeks.
Where the child was not placed with the Applicants nor is a natural child of either, he/she must have lived with them for at least 12 months.
