Civil Partnership

The Civil Partnership Act gives lesbian, gay and bisexual couples the option of making a formal lifelong commitment to each other, as opposite-sex couples can through marriage.

Since 21st December 2005 same sex couples have been able to make a formal, legal commitment to each other by registering their partnership under this Act.

Registration involves serious duties and obligations as well as important legal rights and protections.

How FJG can Help

We are one of the largest Family Law departments in East Anglia, with a Legal Aid Franchise and members of the Law Society's Children Panel and the Solicitors Family Law Association.
