Terms of Legal Aid
If Legal Aid is granted it will be subject to a number of conditions. In particular these are:
- Any change in address, change of partner or financial circumstances must be notified
- The Commission may require a review means test
- If a monthly contribution is payable, this must be maintained throughout the case
- A financial limit on the amount of work to be done will be set and can be reviewed
- A 'scope' limit may be set, eg to get a barrister's opinion or not to set down for trial without the Commission's approval
