One of Colchester’s leading law firms is celebrating the news that one of its legal assistants has qualified as a solicitor.

Hannah Graves (28) has been working in general immigration, asylum and human rights law at Fisher Jones Greenwood LLP for the past four years.

She said: “I was particularly pleased to join Fisher Jones Greenwood as it has an outstanding reputation - particularly for its immigration and human rights work. I strongly believe that the most vulnerable people in our society should have good legal representation and I am absolutely delighted to have qualified as a solicitor.”

Hannah who grew up in Colchester also has an interest in social welfare law. She studied law at the University of East Anglia and before joining Fisher Jones Greenwood worked for a Norwich firm of solicitors.

Tony Fisher, Senior Partner at Fisher Jones Greenwood said: “Hannah has been doing some very valuable work for our immigration department whilst studying part-time for her qualifications and training contract. We are very pleased that she has qualified and that she will continue to play an important role in the vital work our immigration, asylum, human rights and social welfare teams undertake.”
