Colchester Law firm supports Essex Air Ambulance

Staff at Fisher Jones Greenwood LLP are aiming to put the ‘fun’ into ‘fundraising’ after selecting Essex Air Ambulance as their charity of the year.

The firm, which is one of East Anglia’s leading law firms, chooses a charity to support each year and for the next 12 month will be holding an array of fundraising events.

 Sue Kovbasyuk who coordinates fundraising at Fisher Jones Greenwood, said: “Staff chose Essex Air Ambulance because it is such an amazing organisation and doesn’t receive any support from the National Lottery. We will be holding events throughout the next 12 months and we always get a lot out of organising them. It’s a great way for people from different departments to get to know each other whilst doing something worthwhile at the same time. Last year we raised nearly £1,500 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) through things like sponsored slims and quiz nights and we are determined to beat that target this year.”

Plans are in place for some ‘fun’ fundraising events including a quiz, sponsored cake bake and sunflower growing competition. Essex Air Ambulance carries clinicians and sophisticated life-saving equipment to a patient within the first few vital minutes of an emergency and has flown over 9,000 missions.
