Colchester law firm raises money to help Children's Hospice

One of Colchester’s leading law firms has raised over £700 for a special charity which cares for hundreds of life-limited children in East Anglia.

Colchester-based Fisher Jones Greenwood LLP, which has recently been acclaimed by the Law Society for outstanding Pro Bono work and Social Responsibility, raised the money through the firm’s support of the recent East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) Wills Week.

The week was organised by EACH to raise funds to support families of life threatened children in the region.

To support the work of EACH, will specialists at Fisher Jones Greenwood waived their usual fees to draw up basic wills in return for a donation to the charity.

FJG Senior Partner Tony Fisher said: “We were delighted to raise funds for such a worthwhile cause.  As a law firm we deal daily with many issues involving children and young people and are very conscious of the valuable service that hospices, in East Anglia, provide for terminally ill children.”

Every year EACH offers care and support to over 300 life-limited children and their families in East Anglia at home or at the charity’s hospices in Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk.
