Olympian Fundraising Effort at QSFJG
1 August 2012 by Ellen Petersen
Award-winning law firm QualitySolicitors FJG have well and truly entered into the Olympic spirit, raising over £140 for charity with an Olympic sweepstake.
Staff at Colchester, Chelmsford, Billericay and Clacton all got involved picking their Olympic teams with more than three quarters of the 204 competing nations getting snapped up by staff eager to win first prize for the team top of the medal table, or even the wooden spoon prize!
With London 2012 now well under way, excitement is paramount within the offices, with moves up and down the medal tables being keenly observed. The main point of the sweepstake of course is the £140 raised which will all go to the FJG Foundation, set up by partners and staff at QS FJG to benefit and support local charitable and worthy causes.
Ellen Petersen, Partnership Member at QS FJG and Chair of the FJG Foundation, said: “It is great that our latest fundraising initiative has had such great support and buy-in from everyone at the firm and I for one will certainly be supporting my sweepstake team throughout London 2012! To raise over £100 from an office sweepstake is a great achievement and with fundraising events like this continuing to raise money for the FJG Foundation, we look forward to being able to support more local charitable causes than ever before.”
