FJG Pumpkin Week and some creative carving
Those who follow us on various social media platforms and also keep an eye on our ever-updating blog section will have noticed that last week we ran our very own #FJGpumpkinweek. Throughout the week we uploaded recipes to give pumpkins nationwide a chance of a different fate than decaying outside your front doorstep. If you missed any of the 5 recipes, they are still available from the links below;
- Day 1 – Pumpkin Soup – The FJG Winter Warmer
- Day 2 – Pumpkin Loaf
- Day 3 – Pumpkin, Oat and Chocolate Chip Cookies
- Day 4 – Pumpkin Risotto
- Day 5 – The Essex Pumpkin Tart
Not all pumpkins were saved for the recipes though so internally the challenge was set to staff to create their very own masterpiece which was befitting to this versatile vegetable. And I think you will agree that the outcome was rather successful…….
FJG pumpkin was in aid of The FJG Foundation, our charity raising monies for small youth and children’s organisations within the local community. It was established in 2012, and has a cookbook available for sale which is full of homemade recipes inspired, created and photographed by the staff. All proceeds of the book go to FJG Foundation and they make a fantastic present/Christmas stocking filler for only £5 or indeed a donation. Please email Penny Hepburn at [email protected] to get your book today.
