Career Progression Development at Leading Law Firm
1 July 2015 by Paula Cameron
Leading law firm Fisher Jones Greenwood have introduced a new tier of career progression by bringing in the level of Associate, whilst two trainees have both qualified as Solicitors. The first FJG associates and the solicitors’ qualification take effect as of July 1st of this year.
The new tier of Associate status recognises a fee-earner’s advanced level of legal skills and commitment to the firm. It is also a mark of appreciation on behalf of the firm for a fee earner’s efforts and their demonstration of added value to the firm.
Paula Fowler, Managing Partner at FJG commented, “By introducing Associate Level at the firm we have brought in an important career step for our staff. The new level will help to clearly mark their value and seniority both internally and outwardly to clients. We are delighted to announce the first FJG associates who are all richly deserving of their status.”
The first FJG Associates are: Ashlee Campbell, Rachel Earnshaw, Gayle Fordham, Andrea Godfrey, Marion Knocker, Emily Waterhouse, Stuart Williams and Julia Williamson.
Sarah Rankin and Lawrence Adams have also both qualified as Solicitors. Having both joined the firm in 2012 as paralegals, their work was rewarded with training contracts which were completed this year. Sarah goes on to become the newest Solicitor in the Private Client team at Colchester, whilst Lawrence is now a solicitor in the Litigation/Employment team in Chelmsford.
Paula Fowler, Managing Partner at Fisher Jones Greenwood added: “As always we are delighted to be able to reward the hard work and skill of our existing staff by supporting their career development. Both Sarah and Lawrence have shown considerable talent and commitment to client care and we are delighted they will be staying with the firm and making valuable contributions to their departments and to FJG in the future.”
