Latest promotions push total of female partners to over fifty percent
13 July 2017 by Marketing Team
We have recently announced four internal promotions; three to Partner and one to Associate bringing the firms total number of Partners to 19.
Experienced solicitor Rachel Earnshaw becomes the seventh Partner in the current Family team, whilst legal executives Gayle Fordham and Marion Knocker are both promoted to Partner within the conveyancing team, bringing the total of Conveyancing Partners to four. Licenced Conveyancer Donna Duca, who is based at the Billericay office, also becomes an Associate within the conveyancing team.
Paula Fowler, Managing Partner at FJG, commented, “It’s fantastic to announce the promotion of three long-standing and highly respected lawyers to partnership from within the firm. Not only are they all adaptable, knowledgeable and confident team players but also a great example of our commitment to the career development of our staff.
Rachel Earnshaw joined Fisher Jones Greenwood in August 2000 and now works in the Family team specialising in care at both Colchester and Clacton offices. Rachel works under difficult circumstances mostly with vulnerable clients, always going above and beyond what is expected of her and has been instrumental in the success of many new initiatives within the firm.
Marion Knocker and Gayle Fordham both work within the Conveyancing team at the Colchester Business Park office and started with the firm as Office Juniors. Marion is now a Fellow of CILEX and is in the process of completing her level 3 CMI Management training. Gayle is currently working towards the completion of both her CILEX qualification and CMI Management training.
The new appointments bring the total of female partners at FJG to over 50%, a statistic of which the firm is very proud;
Paula Fowler added, “These promotions also demonstrate the firm’s commitment to equality and diversity. Not only that but of the four promotions, three have just had babies, so we look forward to them starting their new roles once they return from maternity leave”.
