Promotions at FJG 2018

We are delighted to announce six internal promotions; three to Partner and three to Associate, bringing the total number of partners to 20 and the number of female partners to 12.

Experienced solicitor Andrea Godfrey, based in the Clacton office, becomes the second Partner in the Wills, Life Planning and Probate team. Paula Bland is promoted to Partner within the Conveyancing team, bringing the total of Conveyancing Partners to five and Ashlee Campbell, Senior Immigration Advisor completes the promotions to Partner.

For the new associates, Charlotte Cohen and Lorraine King who work closely together in the new build Conveyancing team in Colchester have been promoted, alongside Sarah Rankin, Solicitor in the Wills, Life Planning and Probate team based in Chelmsford.

Paula Fowler, Managing Partner at FJG, commented, “It’s tremendous to be able to announce the promotion of these established and esteemed lawyers to Partners and Associates. All have proved their worth, evidenced by their hard work, dedication and expertise that they have applied to everything they do.”

  • Paula Bland joined Fisher Jones Greenwood in 1985 and is one of the longest standing members of staff at the firm, working on all aspects of residential conveyancing work in the Colchester office.
  • Ashlee Campbell is recognised individually by two prestigious directories, the Legal500 and Chambers & Partners for her work in the field of Immigration law.
  • Andrea Godfrey is the spearhead of the Clacton office and is well-known amongst local community groups and charity organisations in Tendring. She is qualified as a ‘Solicitor for the Elderly’ and a ‘Dementia Friend’, advising the elderly with regards to matters such as Care Fees, Adult Social Care and Home Equity Release schemes.

Paula Fowler added, “These promotions also highlight the firm’s strong female workforce. Following on from the promotions in 2017, all six of these promotions are female members of staff and bring the total of female partners at FJG to 60%, a statistic of which the firm is very proud.”
