FJG take home the Farleigh Hospice “It’s a Knockout” Trophy!
23 September 2019 by Lauren Hancock
The 18th of September saw a team of FJG superheroes take on Farleigh Hospice’s ‘It’s a Knockout’ event at the Heybridge Football Club. The team comprised of, Team Captain Amy Burton, Sarah Shea, Rebecca Webber, Andrew Morgan, Lawrence Adams, Scott McIntyre, Leanne Hillery, Kate Crossman, Joel Tyson and Lauren Hancock, all of whom wore their rainbow capes with pride. Together, the ten eager participants took on six other local businesses, going head to head for the coveted trophy and champagne prize.
After a series of challenges, including a treasure hunt staged inside a bouncy castle filled with bubbles followed by an inflatable slide relay race, the final scores were in. It was close. The Rickard Luckin team, clad in their banana costumes shuffled away with a respectable 91 points but despite their valiant effort, FJG reigned victorious with a score of 92.
More importantly, the event raised a fantastic £9,000 for Farleigh Hospice, a wonderful cause that the FJG team are proud to support. Farleigh Hospice provides hospice and at home care to those affected by life limiting illnesses across mid-Essex. In addition to the wonderful care provided to those diagnosed with life limiting illness, Farleigh Hospice offers a wide range of support to family members and friends.
It’s safe to say the event was a huge success!
