We’re delighted to announce that Laura Frith, Solicitor, specialising in Litigation has joined Fisher Jones Greenwood Solicitors (FJG) from March 2020. Following on from the recruitment of Bushra Elzubeir as Head of the FJG Dispute Resolution department, Laura will continue to add expertise and an impressive depth of knowledge to the team.
Laura joins FJG from another local firm having qualified as a Solicitor in 2013. Earlier in her career, Laura worked on a range of residential and commercial property matters specialising in landlord and tenant law where she acted for both landlord and tenant clients. Laura has a vast amount of experience in dealing with a range of property litigation matters including lease renewals, rent reviews, landlord and tenant disputes, forfeiture proceedings and possession claims.
Laura now specialises in civil and commercial litigation matters including contractual disputes, boundary disputes, construction disputes, contested probate, debt recovery and employment matters. Rather topically in the present climate, Laura and the team are able to advise employers and employees on the evolving law and policies around dealing with the effect of Covid-19 in commerce and employment including on the impact of the Coronavirus Bill, the Statutory Sick Pay (General) (Coronavirus Amendment) Regulations 2020, the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme and the new Employment and Support Allowance (ESA).
Bushra Elzubeir, Partner and Head of Dispute Resolution comments: “At this most unusual of times, it is a pleasure to welcome Laura to the team and we look forward to the future with a positive air. I am sure Laura will be a great asset to our department and to the firm as a whole.”
