Sarah Rankin


Sarah Rankin is a Partner at the firm in the Wills, Life Planning and Probate Department.

Sarah graduated from Essex University with a 2.1 honours degree, she then went on to Anglia Ruskin University to do her LPC for which she received a commendation – then joining the firm in 2012.

Sarah specialises in drafting Wills, the preparation and registering of Lasting Powers of Attorney, registering Enduring Powers of Attorney, general estate planning and inheritance tax and the administration of estates including complex estates involving multi-jurisdictional issues. Sarah also advises on matters in relation to Trusts and their administration and Equity Release and is registered with the Equity Release Council. Further, Sarah is a full member of STEP.

In the 2020 edition of the Legal 500 Sarah was named as a ‘Recommended Lawyer’ noted for her ‘invaluable approach‘.

Sarah is based at our Colchester office, however, she also sees clients in the Chelmsford and Billericay offices. Sarah is also happy to visit clients in their homes or in hospitals or hospices if they are unable to attend at the office.

Away from FJG, Sarah is married and has two children and is an active member of the Colchester Buddhist Centre and regularly teaches Meditation and Buddhism.
