As part of the FJG 100 Day Challenge, I had the pleasure of using my CSR day to volunteer and help Clacton Food Bank.
The staff in our Clacton office has previously made food donations towards the Christmas Hamper Appeal run by Clacton Food Bank and it was a pleasure to be able to assist them further. I spent my afternoon collecting food donations by all the generous customers at Tesco Brook Retail Park, together with handing out leaflets to support the appeal. After just one day it was wonderful to find out that they had collected approximately 30 boxes of food.
It was also really lovely to speak with the organiser and to learn that the donations made throughout the year help approximately 100-120 families per month! Clacton Food Bank also support and assist people with solving their longer-term problems.
