Senior Associate
Lisa O’Boyle is a Senior Associate Solicitor based at our Office in Colchester. Lisa joined the firm in November 2016, qualified as a Solicitor in January 2019 and was promoted to Associate in May 2023.
Lisa’s ability to handle complex financial cases and emotionally charged disputes with clarity and compassion sets her apart. She deals with a broad range of family matters, including children, divorce, financial matters arising upon divorce, pre-nuptial agreements and domestic abuse. She also conducts some of her own advocacy.
Lisa has built a reputation for combining legal precision with empathy and strategic thinking. She is appreciated by her clients for being supportive, calm and sympathetic as well as for providing advice and producing work that is clear, firm and thorough with strategic foresight.
Lisa is committed to the Resolution Code of Practice and strives to resolve issues in a solution-focused way, minimising conflict and promoting the children’s wellbeing.
By way of background, Lisa is bilingual in English and French. In 2012, Lisa worked as a volunteer in a French charity helping Asylum Seekers. She also completed internships in London at the AIRE Centre in 2013, REDRESS Trust in 2015 and the BPP Legal Advice Clinic advising on family law in 2016.
In 2013, Lisa completed an undergraduate degree in English and French Law and, in 2015, a Masters in International Human Rights Law, both obtained with a merit. She also completed the Legal Practitioners Course with a distinction in 2016.
Outside of work, Lisa loves travelling to discover other cultures, dogs and walking along the beach or in the forest. She also has a keen interest in kayaking/paddleboarding, Irish dancing, Yoga and Capoeira.
