The Covid-19 pandemic has been highly documented in terms of the restrictions put in place for the country for workers, benefits, and restrictions on travel. However, where does this leave those individuals with an upcoming expiry of a visa?

For many, this is a daunting, stressful time and with the current situation, people need advice and guidance.

We at Fisher Jones Greenwood are continuing to offer advice through our Immigration Team through remote working. We are still available to offer advice relating to visa expiry queries as well as handling applications on your behalf.

How so you may ask?

Over the course of the last year, the Home Office have changed the way they are processing visa applications. Whereas before for many people who last applied for a visa 30 months ago had to submit all their supporting documents and application in person or via the post. The Home Office have developed a new electronic way which avoids supporting papers to be forwarded on to the Home Office for consideration.

Our team has extensive knowledge of the current Home Office systems in order to handle your applications with ease. Should you wish to obtain more advice and costs involved to assist you with this process please either contact our team on 01206 835270 or email [email protected].

How is COVID-19 affecting Short Term Visas?

However, the Home Office have advised that those individuals need to contact the Coronavirus Immigration Team in order to have this matter resolved.
