It was a fantastic evening for Fisher Jones Greenwood at the British Conveyancing Awards 2026, where firms and professionals from across the property sector came together to recognise the vital work taking place throughout the conveyancing profession.

Colleagues from our Commercial Property and New Build Conveyancing teams were delighted to attend the event, which showcases the people and organisations guiding buyers, sellers, investors and developers through the legal process of moving home or progressing property projects.

Recognising Excellence Across Our Property Teams

This year, Fisher Jones Greenwood was shortlisted as a finalist in two prestigious categories:

  • New Build Conveyancing Team of the Year
  • Commercial Property Team of the Year

These shortlistings acknowledge the exceptional work carried out by our specialist property teams in supporting individuals, developers and businesses at key moments of transition.

Our New Build Conveyancing Team, led by Partner and Head of New Build Lorraine King, works closely with buyers and developers to manage the contracts, timelines and communication behind new home purchases.

Alongside them, the Commercial Property Team, led by Partner and Head of Commercial Property Keeley Miller, and recognised by the Legal 500, advises businesses, investors and organisations on acquisitions, disposals, leases and development projects across a broad range of sectors.

A Moment to Reflect on the Profession

For those working in conveyancing, evenings like the British Conveyancing Awards offer an opportunity to pause and appreciate the scale of work taking place every day – keeping transactions on track, resolving issues as they arise, and supporting clients through each stage of their property journey.

Just as importantly, the event brings together professionals from across the wider property ecosystem. Conveyancers, estate agents, lenders, surveyors and technology providers all play a part in helping property moves progress, and the awards provide a valuable space to connect with others involved in that shared process.

Celebrating the Evening

Lorraine King, Partner and Head of New Build at Fisher Jones Greenwood, said:
“Thank you to the organisers and sponsors for a superb evening celebrating the profession, and we congratulate the winners in our category on their success. Being shortlisted as finalists is a real achievement for our New Build team, and one I hope they take great pride in.”

Keeley Miller, Partner and Head of Commercial Property, added:
“We enjoyed an amazing evening celebrating the hard work undertaken by all those in the profession. We appreciate the work of the organisers and sponsors in putting together this event. To have even been shortlisted as finalists for this award is amazing, and I hope every member of my team is proud of their achievement in being recognised in this way.”

About the British Conveyancing Awards

The British Conveyancing Awards recognise the firms and professionals involved in property transactions across the UK.

Now in their 6th year, the awards bring together organisations from across the property sector, reflecting the many people involved in helping buyers, sellers and developers complete property transactions.

Entries are reviewed by an independent panel of industry experts, with only a select number of firms shortlisted in each category. Reaching the shortlist places those teams among a special group recognised for the work they are doing within the profession.

For Fisher Jones Greenwood, it was a pleasure to be part of the evening held at at Manchester Cathedral, and to see the work of conveyancing professionals across the sector acknowledged in this way.
