By nature, divorce is often a very difficult thing to deal with, and getting the right legal advice early on can ultimately make a huge difference to how everything unfolds. Our divorce solicitors in Clacton-on-Sea have extensive experience handling divorce cases, so we can guide you through each stage of the process. That includes the application itself, any discussions about child arrangements, and the negotiation of financial terms. We make sure you understand what to expect, how to respond to any changes or complications, and what steps to take next.
Financial settlements are often the most complex part of a divorce, largely because they can involve pensions, family homes, savings, business assets or future maintenance. We’ll help you identify what a fair settlement looks like, advise on the available routes for negotiation or court proceedings, and represent your interests at every stage.
Making decisions about children after a separation can often be exceptionally stressful. You may be worried about where your child will live, how much time they’ll spend with each parent, or how decisions will be made about their schooling, medical care or day-to-day routine.
Our family solicitors in Clacton regularly advise on all aspects of child arrangements, including shared care, school holiday schedules, relocation requests and specific issues like passport access or changes to contact times. We provide legal advice to help you reach a mutual agreement, and if necessary, represent you in formal negotiations or court proceedings. Whatever the nature of the details involved, you can rest assured that our top priority is always to keep things focused on your child’s welfare.
