FJG has picked up a national Law Society award for ‘Excellence in Technology’, at the 10th annual Excellence Awards, seeing off a strong selection of shortlisted firms from across the country.
The nationwide award ceremony, hosted last night at the Park Lane Hilton, recognised the most outstanding practitioners in their field and celebrated ten years of excellence within the legal profession. Alongside taking home the technology award, we also made the shortlist in the ‘Excellence in Private Client Practice’ category.
The award was won as a result of our work in the design of workflows combining law and technology with our existing case management system. This enables efficient, secure access to justice for those of modest means who fell out of scope as a result of government changes imposed post LASPO (Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012).
Managing Partner Paula Fowler commented, “Being shortlisted twice was a great success in itself, so to pick up the award for Excellence in Technology really is a wonderful achievement by everyone involved, from trainees, paralegals and partners, to external stakeholders including the University of Essex.”
Tony Fisher, Senior Partner added, “It is fantastic to be recognised by The Law Society on a national level for something that ensures our clients continue to receive a high-level, cost-effective service. It demonstrates that we are dedicated to always putting the client first and that we are passionate about delivering the best level of service from a law firm.
Whilst the award is testament to the hard work already put in, we view it as just a beginning. We now want to move forward and build on this fantastic foundation, continuing to strive for technological innovation alongside excellent customer service.”
The other shortlisted firms in the technology category were: DigitalLawUK Ltd, Family Law Partners, Labrums Solicitors LLP, Reed Smith LLP, Shakespeare Martineau LLP and Watkins & Gunn Solicitors.
