Fisher Jones Greenwood (FJG) has been shortlisted in two categories at the British Conveyancing Awards 2026, a national event recognising excellence across the conveyancing profession.
The firm has been named as a finalist for New Build Conveyancing Team of the Year and Commercial Property Team of the Year, highlighting the breadth of work carried out by FJG’s specialist property teams for individuals, developers and businesses at important points of change.
When a property matter completes, it often feels like a finish line for clients. Behind the scenes, however, that moment represents weeks, and sometimes months, of careful coordination, legal detail, and communication. The shortlist recognises the teams whose work makes those transitions possible.
New build conveyancing
FJG’s New Build Conveyancing Team, led by Partner and Head of New Build Lorraine King, works in one of the fastest-paced areas of the property market. Acting for buyers and supporting developers, the team manages the contracts, timescales, and communication behind new homes, often when exchange deadlines are tight, and buyers are planning to move around work, schools, and family life.
Lorraine, who has worked in conveyancing for more than three decades, guides clients through every stage of the new build process, from early paperwork through to completion. Clear explanations, careful attention to detail, and practical communication are central to helping clients feel informed and reassured throughout what can be a complex process.

Commercial property
Alongside them, FJG’s Commercial Property Team has been recognised for its work with businesses, investors and organisations across a wide range of sectors. Led by Partner and Head of Commercial Property, Keeley Miller, the team advises on acquisitions, disposals, leases, and development projects, matters often closely linked to a business’s future direction.
Whether securing new premises, restructuring a portfolio or handling a complex transaction, the work requires both legal precision and commercial awareness. Keeley is known for helping clients understand their options in straightforward terms and for keeping matters moving when timing and broader business considerations are at play.
National recognition
The awards ceremony will take place at Manchester Cathedral on 12th March, bringing together firms from across the UK property sector. For FJG’s teams, the shortlist is recognition for work that is often measured not in headlines, but in homes handed over, developments progressing, and businesses ready to take their next step.
