We are delighted to announce that Richard Busby has recently joined the family team at Fisher Jones Greenwood as a partner.

Richard joins our renowned team, alongside Simon Osborne and Charlotte Knappett. With his experience gained whilst working in London firms, the family team continues to go from strength to strength.

Qualifying in 2003 at an East London firm, Richard has endeavoured to conduct as much advocacy on his cases as possible. He has been an accredited specialist member of Resolution for many years.

Richard’s main area of work is in relation to the resolution of financial claims arising out of the breakdown of relationships, for married and unmarried couples but he also has extensive experience in handling disputes regarding child arrangements and has experience of cross-border cases.

Richard has authored various articles on the legal issues faced by unmarried couples and has been published in legal journals as well as being directly cited by the Sunday Times. He also gave a lecture on the law affecting cohabitees in 2016.

Outside of work Richard will most likely be found in the garden or allotment. Richard plays golf and also sometimes enjoys following Spurs.
