Today marks day 2 of the 10th instalment of the annual Pan-European Intellectual Property Summit or ‘IP’ summit as it is more colloquially known, which this year is hosted in Berlin, Germany.
Such summit has succeeded in gathering key representatives from more than 60 innovative worldwide companies, who have increasing exposure to and reliance upon intellectual property.
The focus of the summit is to consider the impending changes within the remit of intellectual property as a result of new legislative changes being implemented both nationally and internationally within the European Union. Furthermore, considerations will be given to any future changes it is felt is required within this ever-evolving field, providing various seminars, workshops and guidance on both the current system of the varying degrees of intellectual property available, as well as how these are to change in the next 12 months or could need to change thereafter to fit the ongoing needs of worldwide businesses.
