The month of September saw Fisher Jones Greenwood take part in Farleigh Hospice’s Make a Will scheme.

Our Wills, Life Planning and Probate team offered their legal services for the preparation of Wills completely free of charge.

The scheme required clients to make a minimum donation to the charity; these being £100 for a single Will and £150 for mirror Wills. What was immediately apparent was the stark enthusiasm from the public to take part. Fisher Jones Greenwood had an abundance of callers eager to ‘Make a Will. Make a Difference’ as Farleigh Hospice so eloquently phrase it and our team were thrilled to oblige.

It is safe to say that the month proved an undeniable success with the scheme raising over £10,000 in total! Furthermore, Fisher Jones Greenwood is proud to have contributed over 30% of this current figure.

Farleigh Hospice provides vital care both within Inpatient Units and home environments to individuals affected by life-limiting illnesses. The charity also offers support for people who have suffered a bereavement, such as family or carers. This support is not limited to individuals who have received their hospice care, but instead extends to any people who have endured a loss within the Essex area. Their work is undoubtedly inspiring.

Farleigh Hospice receive 40% of their yearly running costs from the NHS but the charity relies on the fundraising efforts and general goodwill of the mid-Essex area to meet its daily expenditure. Through schemes like Make a Will, professional organisations can help support these efforts and Fisher Jones Greenwood is delighted to have done just that.
