James Bird is a Partner within the Wills, Life Planning & Probate Team. James joined the firm originally as a paralegal in 2014 having obtained a distinction in the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in London. He then qualified as a solicitor in 2017 and then became an Associate in 2022.
James undertakes various aspects of non-contentious probate work including drafting Wills, the preparation and registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney, and the administration of estates. He is a fully accredited member of the Association of Lifetime Lawyers and a Dementia Friend.
He is also recognised in the Legal 500 team commentary for Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate.
James is based in the Charter Court Office in Colchester and is happy to visit clients in their homes if they are unable to attend the office.
Outside the office, James enjoys watching live comedy shows, from big names to local circuits.
