Rachel Earnshaw qualified as a Solicitor in 2002 having joined Fisher Jones Greenwood in 2000. Her expertise lies in family law and she specialises in child care proceedings (she has been appointed to the Law Society’s Children Panel since 2007). Rachel graduated from Staffordshire University with a LLB Law degree (class 2:1) in 1999 and a Diploma in Legal Practice in 2000.

As part of the Family Law Team, Rachel advises clients about matters regarding disputes about children involving Social Services. As a Children Panel member, she is also able to represent children in any proceedings where they are a party.

Rachel is one of our public law specialists. If social services or the police are seeking to remove your child on an emergency basis outside normal office hours, please contact our emergency child removal hotline which is open from 5.15pm until 8.00pm weekdays and 7.00am until 8.00pm weekends on 01206 835205.

Rachel is also recognised in the latest edition of Legal 500 where she is named as a ‘Next Generation Partner’.

She enjoys working within the community and also attends regularly at our Clacton and Chelmsford Offices.

Outside of work, Rachel is also a Trustee for the Eastern Legal Support Trust raising money to help fund free legal advice services and a Governor at a local school.
