Sarah Shea is a Partner in our Commercial Property Team, based at our Chelmsford office.

Sarah began her career as a Paralegal at FJG in 2017 where she worked alongside the Head of the Commercial Property Team. Sarah qualified as a Solicitor in October 2019 and soon after was promoted to an Associate Solicitor. She has since been promoted to Senior Associate in April 2025 and Partner in January 2026.

Sarah deals with a broad spectrum of Commercial Property work including buying and selling commercial property and sites for development, commercial and development re-finance and acting for both landlords and tenants to complete a commercial lease.

Sarah regularly acts for both landlord and tenant clients on a number of residential matters including the sale and purchase of residential blocks of flats via the section 5 or collective enfranchisement procedure. Sarah also specialises and has a keen interest in acting on both statutory and non-statutory lease extensions involving complex sites.

Sarah also often prepares leasehold property enquiry forms (LPE1 forms) and certificates of compliance to be submitted to HM Land Registry for her landlord clients.

She is also recognised in the Legal 500 team commentary for Commercial Property, where they said she was, “Excellent on conveyancing, leasehold issues – Sarah Shea is very good.”
