Thara Thangavel is a Partner at the firm working in the Wills, Life Planning and Probate Department.
Thara joined Fisher Jones Greenwood in 2023 with a 2.1 honors degree from Essex University and completed the LPC at the College of Law London. Thara qualified as a Solicitor in 2007 and has been providing legal advice in East Anglia for over 15 years.
Thara became a full member of STEP in 2016 and specialises in Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Estate Planning and Trusts, General Inheritance Tax advice, Administration of Estates – to include complex and high value matters. The law can seem complicated and overwhelming, Thara always tries to ensure that the clients understand everything in a clear and easy manner. Thara feels that it is important to sensitively guide client through complex matters especially at a difficult point in their lives.
She is also recognised in the Legal 500 team commentary for Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate.
Thara is based at our Colchester office but will travel to any regional office to meet with clients. Thara believes that it is important for everyone to have access to legal services and will also visits clients in their homes, hospitals or hospices if clients are unable to attend at the office.
