Ellie Maynard, Paralegal in our Family team, is excited to be part of the organising team for this year’s Chelmsford Legal Walk. Taking place on Thursday, 12th June 2025, the event will raise money for the Access to Justice Foundation. Colleagues across FJG hope you can join us in supporting this important cause.

The Chelmsford Legal Walk is an annual networking event which brings together supporters of the Access to Justice Foundation from the legal profession to raise money to help provide free legal services supporting marginalised individuals in need of advice – also helping to tackle barriers to justice.

The Access to Justice Foundation UK is a UK wide grant-maker which supports the provision of free legal advice and representation to the people who need it the most. These causes have been particularly hit by the rise in cost of living, which is why it is so important to play a part in helping out.

Ellie explains; “I have had the honour and pleasure of helping to arrange the Chelmsford Legal Walk this year, raising money for the Access to Justice Foundation. The purpose of the walk is to raise money towards important work to help prevent families being made homeless, prevent destitution, help older people gain the support they are entitled, and help parents and children suffering from domestic abuse. These causes have been particularly hit by the rise in cost of living which is why it is so important to raise as much as we can to help out.”

Registration is from 5pm at Trinity Chambers, with the walk due to commence at approximately 5:30pm. Upon completion of the walk, walkers are welcome to stay for nibbles and refreshments provided at Trinity Chambers.
