Many of you will recall I wrote a blog earlier in the month regarding the St Helena Hospice Wills Campaign which took place throughout the whole of June 2018. With the campaign for the year having finished, the Hospice is in the process of allocating the generous donations.
If you follow the Hospice or support it in any way then you might have heard that the Wills Campaign has raised over £11,000 to go towards funding all of the amazing work that it carries out. At Fisher Jones Greenwood, we were thrilled to hear that our firm managed to contribute a huge £7,180. That means about 65% of the total amount raised came through supporters of the cause who used Fisher Jones Greenwood.
The sum raised was an incredible amount and we would like to thank everyone who took part in such a worthwhile cause with their generous donations. If you didn’t manage to participate in the scheme this year then keep an eye out next year to see if the Hospice will run a similar scheme. Of course, if we are participating next year then we will, of course, publicise this as well so make sure to follow any announcements on our social media platforms.
Many will be aware of the work which St Helena Hospice does with patients providing care for them towards the end of their time when they have been diagnosed with serious illnesses. However, St Helena Hospice helps with many more aspects ranging from counselling services for family members to providing at-home care. They have a wide range of services provided by professionals but as a charity, fundraising and donations are the only way they can continue to operate.
