Fisher Jones Greenwood are now able to offer representation to clients in Children Act applications for Child Arrangements Orders, Prohibited Steps Orders, Specific Issue Orders and Parental Responsibility Orders for a fixed fee. After undertaking extensive trials we believe that we have come up a service which parents who need to make an application to the court to resolve issues relating to their children will find useful and cost effective. The introduction of this fixed fee option sits alongside our other fixed fee services and our innovative Pay-as-you-go service.

This fixed price service covers taking initial instructions, up to and including the first hearing. For the person applying for the order, the total cost is £1,500.00 including VAT and the court fee of £215.00. Parents of limited means may be eligible for a fee remission for the court fee. For the respondent receiving the court papers, the total cost is £1000.00 including VAT.

This fixed fee includes an initial interview of up to one hour, drafting the application and preparing all documentation. We will correspond with the court and the other party, prepare court bundles where necessary and represent parents at their first hearing for up to half a day. It is rare that the first hearing takes longer than half a day.

We believe that the introduction of this service will provide parents with some financial certainty through what can be a stressful time.
