The Emerging Professionals Network is designed for individuals who are just starting or are relatively new in their careers. It caters to those who are pursuing a qualification or have recently achieved one, and who seek to be part of a supportive community of peers in similar professional stages, regardless of their industry. As future leaders in our respective fields, building strong connections and a robust support network is crucial for professional growth and personal development.
What is it?
The Emerging Professionals is a network of those who may just have started or are fairly new in their career. It is for those who are working towards a qualification or have recently qualified, who want to be part of a supportive network of people in similar situations to them professionally, regardless of the sector they are in. As the future leaders in our fields, having great connections and a strong support network is extremely important both professionally and in a personal capacity.
Co-host Chloe Hawkes shares her inspiration behind the event; “Networking can be daunting to some people when they’re early in their professional career. I’ve come across some events where you’re essentially tasked with speaking to as many people as possible and collecting business cards. It can feel extremely overwhelming to try and figure out who you should be speaking to and essentially trying to meet a marketing target, rather than trying to form relationships. Our idea is to take the pressure away from networking and connect with like-minded individuals who are at a junior stage of their career. We want to offer a support network for those new to their career, balancing study and work and we encourage ideas being discussed to help each other grow. (any referrals now or in the future are just a bonus!) We hope you can join us!
