Kerry McMahon of Christian Aid, representing the Will Aid charities, paid a special visit to QualitySolicitors FJG with participating branch offices in Colchester, Billericay, Clacton and Chelmsford to thank the staff for their fantastic contribution to Will Aid and to present them with a Will Aid certificate.

With QualitySolicitors FJG being the highest donating firm nationwide for the latest campaign, Kerry explained the importance of the solicitors’ hard work to Christian Aid: “Christian Aid would like to thank Quality Solicitors FJG for generously donating their time, energies and expertise to the 2012 Will Aid campaign. Their continued support of Will Aid, and the donations that Christian Aid receives as a result, will help us continue in our fight against poverty and injustice – allowing us to plant trees that feed families and build schools and health clinics – making a lasting difference to thousands of lives.”

Once the outstanding donations have been received, the firm has will have raised over £16,000 by writing approximately 180 Wills for local clients as part of November 2012’s Will Aid campaign. Will Aid clients were offered a basic Will and asked to make a donation instead of paying the firm’s usual fees. The money raised is shared by Actionaid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children, SCIAF, Sightsavers and Trocaire.

Quality Solicitors FJG has participated in Will Aid for many years and has raised over £65,000 to date. This amazing sum has made a real and lasting difference to the lives of those people in the UK and all over the world helped by the Will Aid charities.

Kate Wombwell, Head of the Private Client team, commented on the firm’s success: “We are delighted to have raised so much for the Will Aid charities this year. Certainly the whole team here has worked hard to write as many Wills as we can, and the scheme is something both we and our clients are proud to be a part of. We would like to thank all of the clients who came to us and contributed so generously .We intend to take part again in November 2013 and hope to raise even more money for the Will Aid charities.”
