Fisher Jones Greenwood LLP is excited to be a headline sponsor of Buzz in the City – Chelmsford’s first-ever public art trail in aid of Farleigh Hospice. Running from 5th July to 9th September, the trail will transform the city into a hive of creativity, featuring over 50 bee sculptures designed by artists and local groups.

Buzz in the City marks Chelmsford’s first city-wide sculpture trail. It is being delivered by Farleigh Hospice in partnership with Chelmsford For You, the city’s Business Improvement District, with the support of Chelmsford City Council. The initiative will raise vital funds for Farleigh Hospice, which provides specialist care to people affected by life-limiting illness and bereavement across mid Essex.

As a long-standing advocate of community engagement and charitable partnership, FJG’s sponsorship reflects our broader commitment to supporting impactful local initiatives.

Gregory John, Partner and Head of Private Client at Fisher Jones Greenwood, said: “Fisher Jones Greenwood is delighted to support Farleigh Hospice and their Buzz in the City art trail. Throughout my professional career, I have had the privilege of working closely with Farleigh Hospice and have witnessed first-hand the incredible impact they have on Chelmsford and the surrounding area.

“Both personally and professionally, I know how invaluable their work is in providing compassionate care and support to those in need. We are proud to contribute to such a meaningful cause and help ensure that Farleigh Hospice can continue their vital services for our community.”

At a recent preview event, FJG and other sponsors were given a first look at the giant bee sculpture and selected their preferred design from a shortlist of artist submissions. FJG are excited to reveal our chosen bee in July when the trail officially launches in Chelmsford City Centre.

Teledyne, based in Waterhouse Lane, Chelmsford, has also been confirmed as a headline sponsor.

Joanne Jones, Head of Site Services, and Sam Philbrick, Charities Committee Chair, from Teledyne, said: “Teledyne are proud to be a headline sponsor for the Buzz in the City event supporting Farleigh Hospice. This is a fantastic opportunity to give back to our community and support vital services like those provided by Farleigh. This sponsorship not only allows us to contribute to a great cause but also provides a platform to connect with local businesses and residents, enhancing our community involvement.”

There are still volunteer opportunities to be part of this high-profile art event which is expected to bring thousands of visitors to Chelmsford.

Schools, youth organisations, care homes and community groups are taking part with their own ‘mini bee’ sculpture to design, decorate and name which they will keep at the end of the trail.
