We’re delighted to announce two new Partner promotions bringing the total number of female Partners to 15. Amy Burton and Sarah Rankin are both long-standing employees of the firm and became Partners on the 1st April 2020.
Amy and Sarah have worked for FJG for nearly 10 years, both have been recognised in the recent edition of the Legal 500 and together they work in the Wills, Life Planning and Probate team. Their promotions bring the number of Partners in this team to four alongside Andrea Godfrey and Susanne Grimwade.
Susanne Grimwade, head of the Wills, Life Planning & Probate team commented, “We’re delighted to boast four female Partners within our growing department. In these unprecedented times never have I been more proud to lead such a hardworking and resilient team.”
She continued, “Amy takes a very active role in business development particularly in the Chelmsford area where she has built up a Wills, Life Planning and Probate team; specialising personally to include Court of Protection and Equity Release work. She is calm, proactive and a team player. Furthermore, Sarah is well-known in the Colchester business community often giving talks and seminars. She is kind with outstanding customer care skills and is constantly enhancing her expertise by continuing to study to become a full member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners which is a worldwide professional body and demonstrates her knowledge, passion and commitment. Amy and Sarah are both worthy of this recognition.”
Paula Cameron adds, “These promotions not only underline FJG’s commitment to home-grown talent but they also highlight the firm’s strong female workforce. Following on from the promotions in 2017 and 2018, and in the year we celebrate 100 years of women in Law; this brings the total of female Partners at FJG to 65%, the highest percentage to date. A statistic of which the firm is very proud.”
