As a busy law student, gaining work experience in regional firms can be very difficult, don’t give up and keep applying to the firms that you see yourself working for.
My time at Fisher Jones Greenwood LLP has been truly inspirational. It is very clear to see that the firm puts their staff and clients’ needs before anything else. My aspiration to qualify as a Solicitor has been reinforced by experiencing what life is like as a trainee at Fisher Jones Greenwood LLP.
What did my week of work experience at FJG look like?
My week consisted of drafting a Will with the Wills, Life Planning & Probate department, completing Form E and C100 forms in the Family Law team, diving into a Share Purchase Agreement in the Corporate & Commercial department, exploring Commercial Property by looking at the heads of terms to draft a lease. Lastly, Andrew and Anthony gave me a mock interview for a Paralegal role with their firm as well as giving constructive feedback on my CV to help me excel in my chosen field. I simply could not have asked to be placed with a better bunch of people who have made me feel at home since day one. The passion everyone here at Fisher Jones Greenwood LLP has for the law is extremely motivating. As I am entering my penultimate year of my law degree, it is very important to be pushed to reach my maximum potential. At Fisher Jones Greenwood LLP they thrive to be the best at helping everyone reach their goals. I have gained invaluable hands-on experience in a successful regional firm which has inspired me to chase my dream of becoming a lawyer.
