A new website detailing Tendring business support services available through a new partnership is now live thanks to a new partnership between Colbea and Tendring 4 Growth, under the umbrella of Tendring District Council.

Start-up and early-stage businesses in the Tendring area are being offered expert business information, advice, and guidance alongside training programmes, through Colbea, a long-established Essex business enterprise support provider based in Colchester.

The new website gives further details on business advice and how to book fully-funded sessions, training courses, helpful leaflets, and useful websites.

Colbea has been offering expert advice sessions for almost forty years in Colchester, but in recent years have expanded to other areas in Essex such as Chelmsford, Rochford, and Braintree to meet the demand of entrepreneurs seeking out expert business advice.

Up to three sessions with an accredited business advisor will be available fully-funded, with advice covering a range of key issues including planning, finance, marketing, and where to go for further help. Business training sessions will also be made available to Tendring residents on a plethora of business-related topics.

A range of short Masterclasses, day-long workshops, and longer training programmes will be offered for those looking to start or grow their business. Confirmed training courses can be booked via the Colbea website and further courses will be added over the coming weeks.

Colbea is a non-profit organisation whose mission is to Inspire and Enable Businesses to Succeed. The service is fully funded, thanks to a grant from Tendring District Council to deliver these services across Tendring.  Colbea will be working closely with its current business sponsors to enhance the value and support available to Tendring residents.

Ashleigh Seymour-Rutherford, Colbea Chief Executive says, “Expert 1:1 advice and training for businesses of all sizes has been shown time and again to be a cornerstone of support to business owners. Pragmatic advice is invaluable to those seeking to start out and grow their businesses. Colbea is delighted to be working with Tendring District Council through its Tendring 4 Growth brand to give its residents and businesses their best chance to help them become Essex’s next business success story.”

Tom Gardiner, Head of Economic Growth at Tendring District Council, said, “Tendring 4 Growth is at the heart of our Corporate Plan, as we look to get the area Back to Business post-pandemic. So whether you’re looking to start a new business and require guidance with business planning and finance, or if you want to improve productivity in order to grow your existing business, please make the most of this free service to help you realise your ambitions.
