Fisher Jones Greenwood’s Billericay office took part in St Luke’s Hospice Make a Will month campaign. This time, as the name suggests, instead of the usual two weeks, campaign lasted a month. As part of this campaign, Anastasia Packman and Janet Silver attended Dementia Awareness day on the 14th September which was part of the St Luke’s Hospice Make a Will Month and the importance of looking after your affairs, ‘getting your ducks in a row’ and securing your future wishes for yourself and your loved ones.
As a result this September we have raised £1,700 to help St Luke’s carry on helping their patients.
St. Luke’s Hospice provides specialist palliative care for people living in the Basildon and Thurrock districts with any life threatening, life limiting disease. This includes not only cancer but other non-curable illnesses, such as Heart Failure, Multiple Sclerosis, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease or Motor Neurone Disease to name just a few. Care and support is offered through a wide range of services that are tailor made to meet the needs of individuals. This care is extended to carers, families and friends.
St Luke’s Hospice is also the Service provider for the South Essex Lymphoedema Service.
St. Luke’s Hospice is not just a building but a special way of caring for patients so it was a great pleasure, once again, to support this great charity.
